Bishkek, April 20, 2026 /Kabar/. The development of the blockchain industry in Kyrgyzstan is creating demand for new professions and could become a driver of youth employment, economist and expert Kuban Choroev told Kabar.

According to him, the market already requires specialists in several fields. In the technical field, these include smart contract developers (Solidity, Rust), blockchain engineers, smart contract security and audit specialists, and on-chain data analysts. In the financial and legal fields, these include AML/KYC officers, compliance specialists, virtual asset lawyers, and RWA tokenization specialists.

Furthermore, demand is emerging for new professions at the intersection of technology and management—token specialists, Web3 product managers, and UX designers for crypto services. At the same time, the market for mass-market professions is also expanding: traders, crypto exchange operators, support specialists, and marketers.

However, the expert notes, country faces the shortage of teachers and methodologists. The need for training could increase significantly in the next 3-5 years.

Choroev emphasized that the blockchain industry opens up new opportunities for young people due to its global and remote nature. This allows specialists from the regions to work on international projects and earn income without having to travel abroad. Therefore, the expert notes that it is necessary to adapt university curricula, develop short-term courses, and create local projects to gain practical experience. Otherwise, there is a risk of a labor exodus abroad.

According to the economist, with the right approach, blockchain could become a new source of economic growth for Kyrgyzstan and create tens of thousands of jobs.
