Bishkek, April 7, 2026. /Kabar/. Border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan held a meeting, initiated by Kyrgyz side on April 7, State Border Service reports.

According to the service, a meeting attende by border representative of the Kyrgyz Republic for the Batken section and the border representative of Uzbekistan for the Sokh section at the Boz Adyr border outpost of the Batken border detachment.

During the meeting, practical exercises were held on the topic of "Border Guard Conduct on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek State Border," a cooperation plan for 2026 was finalized, and dates for joint patrols were set.

The meeting was held in a businesslike atmosphere, with participants emphasizing the importance of maintaining stability in the region and their commitment to developing good-neighborly ties along the state border.
