Bishkek, April 28, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev held a meeting to discuss the progress of projects aimed at developing tourism in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the participants discussed the implementation of the Chatkal Resort project in Chatkal district of Jalal-Abad region, which aims to create a modern mountain resort. The project is planned to be implemented as a public-private partnership with private investors and specialized development companies. Its implementation period is set for approximately 2026-2034.
The project's goal is to create new jobs, enhance the region's socio-economic development, and increase the flow of foreign tourists, as well as further improve transport links between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan by creating an international highway corridor.
Next, the participants reviewed the progress of the investment project to build the Choktal Resort, a multifunctional, international-class tourist and resort complex on the shores Issyk-Kul lake. The project aims to create a modern, 5-star resort complex that meets international standards of quality, environmental sustainability, and year-round operation.
The future complex will be managed using modern technologies to automate and standardize business processes, ensure a high level of service, and optimize operational activities. The total duration of the project is 3 years.
