Checkpoints on Kyrgyz-Uzbek border start working 24/7

Bishkek, May 20, 2026. /Kabar/. Starting today, May 20, three checkpoints located on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border in Batken region will start working around the clock (24 hours). This was reported by the Border Service.

According to the information, the following checkpoints have switched to a continuous operating mode:

"Kadamzhai - highway";

"Chechme - highway";

"Ak-Kiya - highway".

"The change in the operating mode of checkpoints is aimed at creating comfortable conditions for citizens crossing the border during the summer tourist season. This mode will be in effect until October 1 of this year," the statement says.

It should be noted that only citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan can pass through these checkpoints.
