Child violence prevention meetings held in Naryn schools

Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2026 /Kabar/. Children's rights commissioner of the Kyrgyz Republic Asel Chynbaeva participated in events marking the launch of the second phase of the information caravan on the prevention of violence against children. The events were held in four comprehensive schools in Kochkor district of Naryn oblast, according to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As part of the Action Plan for the implementation of the final recommendations of the UN Committee on the rights of the child regarding the inadmissibility of violence against children, the secretariat of the children's rights commissioner, together with the Public Association "Child Protection Center," launched the second phase of the information caravan on the prevention of violence against children from February 9 to 12, 2026. It will run until November of this year.

The goal of these events is to develop a proactive approach in children, based on self-respect and respect for others, which is the result of positive family upbringing and a safe educational environment.

A total of approximately 450 schoolchildren and 280 parents participated in the events.

The information caravan included informational and educational events on the theme "Joining Efforts for Child Safety." These included meetings and discussions with teachers, parents, and local government representatives on violence prevention and strengthening child protection systems at the local level. Practical classes on positive parenting were organized, and psychological consultations aimed at strengthening parent-child relationships were provided.

The information caravan will continue in the Chui, Issyk-Kul, and Osh regions.

For reference: as part of the first stage of the information caravan, events were held in 12 comprehensive schools, including six in Issyk-Kul region (Tyup and Jeti-Oguz districts), two in the Chui region, and four in Bishkek. A total of 1,300 students in grades 7–11 and 620 parents participated in the events.
