Bishkek, June 9, 2026 /Kabar/. The 11th International Cultural and Educational Forum "Children of the Commonwealth" will be held for the first time in Tajikistan's Sughd Region at the Shokhin Children's Camp in Guliston from June 15 to 24.
According to CIS IPA Council Secretariat, delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan will participate in the forum. The forum, organized by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, will be held in the republic at the invitation of Rustami Emomali, Supreme Assembly Chairman.
More than thirty events are planned over the course of ten days. Daily events will feature days exploring the cultures and traditions of the participating countries. The program also includes intellectual Olympiad, meetings with sports champions, master classes, a tourist rally, a physical education and sports marathon, and friendly tournaments.
Dushanbe to host Parliament Day, including a tour of the capital, a visit to the Istiklol architectural complex, the National Museum, and the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The organizers aim to create a space for informal communication, cultural dialogue, and strengthening friendly ties between representatives of the younger generation of the Commonwealth countries.
The initiative to hold the regional schoolchildren's forum came from Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan. Since 2013, the event has been held on Issyk-Kul lake. The forum's geography has since expanded, with Russia, Uzbekistan, and Belarus hosting the event.
The project is supported by the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation.
