Chinese Shuangliang Group plans to enter Kyrgyzstan's energy sector

Bishkek, June 9, 2026. /Kabar/. National Investment Agency discussed prospects for cooperation in Kyrgyzstan's energy sector with the Chinese company SL Gemini Energy.

According to the agency, Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the agency, met with a delegation from the Chinese energy company SL Gemini Energy Co., Ltd., part of the industrial holding Shuangliang Group.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for attracting foreign direct investment in renewable energy projects and the modernization of Kyrgyzstan's municipal heating systems.

National Investment Agency presented information on the country's investment climate, current government support measures for green economy projects, and investor protection mechanisms. Special attention was paid to government priorities in the development of renewable energy and the implementation of energy-efficient technologies.

Chinese side presented the holding's production and technological capabilities and expressed interest in implementing energy projects in Kyrgyzstan.

"Kyrgyzstan has significant potential for the development of clean energy. We are interested in attracting investors with modern technologies and practical experience in implementing large-scale infrastructure projects. National Investment Agency is ready to provide the necessary assistance to investors within the framework of current legislation and support promising initiatives at all stages of their implementation," noted Ravshanbek Sabirov.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue exploring possible areas of cooperation, including studying the technical and economic parameters of potential projects and preparing a roadmap for further cooperation.
