Conference on national identity being held in Bishkek

Bishkek, May 21, 2026. /Kabar/. The international scientific and practical conference "National Identity and Spiritual Values ​​- as the Foundation for Sustainable Development of Kyrgyzstan" is being held today at the Ala-Archa State Residence.

The event is being held in honor of the 30th anniversary of the National Agency for Religious Affairs under the Kyrgyz President.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, representatives of government agencies, academic and expert circles, international organizations, religious denominations, civil society, and university professors attend the conference.

Adylbek Kasymaliev conveyed congratulatory speech of the head of state:

"Currently, ethnic groups in our country live in harmony and unity, and we are jointly developing our sovereign state. This is, of course, the result of the correctly conducted state policy and the internal cultural strength of our people. Today's anniversary bearers have fulfilled this task with great responsibility for three decades, ensuring social stability, interethnic peace and unity of citizens. Therefore, first of all, I sincerely congratulate all of you on the 30th anniversary of the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations".

The event aims to discuss the role of national identity and spiritual and moral values ​​in ensuring the country's sustainable development.

The conference also plans to develop scientific and practical recommendations on current issues of strengthening social stability and interfaith and interethnic harmony.

The conference will feature presentations on national identity, spiritual values, religious literacy, youth policy, civic identity, cultural and spiritual challenges in the context of globalization, and the prevention of radicalization.

Following the meeting, the resolution to be adopted.
