Bishkek, June 8, 2026. /Kabar/. Minister of Construction, Architecture Nurdan Oruntaev inspected the construction of Altai town, which is being built in Bishkek.
According to the ministry, during his working visit, the minister was briefed on the current stage of the project, the completion of engineering and preparatory work, and the progress of construction.
Nurdan Oruntaev instructed that daily quality control of construction and installation work and adherence to the approved construction schedule be ensured. He also emphasized the need for ongoing monitoring at each construction site by responsible specialists, with timely reports on completed work. The minister also instructed that apartments be sold only in blocks where construction has actually begun and is in the active phase. This measure is aimed at ensuring the protection of citizens' interests and safety.
The drainage systems have been completed in approximately 600 blocks to date. The work is also underway to tie reinforcement cages and prepare foundations for subsequent concreting.
Furthermore, Altai is one of the largest housing projects in the country, covering an area of 234 hectares. The project includes the construction of 1,551 five-story apartment buildings. In total, more than 34,000 apartments of various layouts are planned, and the total development area will exceed 1,070,000 square meters.
"According to the project, the town will include the construction of social infrastructure facilities, including schools, kindergartens, clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, territorial divisions of internal affairs agencies, and fire and rescue service centers," the report says.
