Bishkek, May 25, 2026 /Kabar/. EDB analysts note that pace of economic growth in Kyrgyzstan increased. According to experts, GDP growth reached 12.4% in January-April of this year.
"The construction sector made the main contribution, increasing by 3.75%. This high activity is due to the expansion of housing construction, stimulated by the implementation of the state program 'My Home.' The commissioning of several small hydroelectric power plants provided additional support. Industrial growth was driven by increase in the production of basic metals (+11.6%). The services sector grew by 7.3%," the EDB reports.
Analysts expect the investment impulse to continue to form the basis for growth until the end of 2026. Kyrgyzstan's GDP is projected to increase by more than 10% by the end of the year.
