Bishkek, May 22, 2026 /Kabar/. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev participated in a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission( EEC) Council via videoconference.

According to the Cabinet, 18 issues were considered during the meeting, 13 of which were adopted without discussion.

EEC Council approved action plan for the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Indonesia. Member states were recommended to expedite domestic procedures to ensure the agreement's prompt entry into force. They agreed on the EAEU technical regulation "On the Safety of Paints and Varnishes." For Kyrgyzstan, the document will come into force on January 1, 2032, allowing domestic producers to adapt to the new requirements.

Furthermore, the EEC granted the Kyrgyz Republic tariff exemptions on the import of cocoa powder and finished food products containing cocoa in quantities of up to 300 tons for industrial processing. This will create additional conditions for the development of the confectionery industry.

EEC Council also approved uniform rules for the labeling of sports nutrition products in EAEU countries, which will ensure mutual recognition of labeling codes and simplify product circulation on the Union market.

Special attention was given to expanding foreign economic cooperation. EEC Council approved the creation of a study group to explore the possibility of concluding a free trade agreement with Pakistan, which opens up prospects for increasing the export of Kyrgyz products.

In addition, the EEC Board decided to increase import duties on LED lamps from 0% to 5% by the end of 2030.
