Bishkek, May 25, 2026 /Kabar/. Elkart users can now pay for purchases in Kazakhstan and Malaysia. For Kyrgyzstan, this is a very important step in the development of digital payments, said Altymysh Turatbekov, Chairman of the Board of Interbank Processing Center (IPC), at press conference.

He announced that, as part of the integration with the international payment platform Alipay+ (Alibaba Group), users of the national Elkart Mobile app now have access to payments abroad.
"Today we are officially demonstrating a real-time transaction. All integration stages are complete. Work began in September, and the project was implemented in a short period of time in collaboration with our partners," he noted.
According to him, Elcart Mobile users will be able to make payments in Kazakhstan and Malaysia today, and the system will be operational in China by June 15. Additional 57 countries will join the network by the end of the month.
Turatbekov emphasized that users won't need a bank card; they only need to install Elcart Mobile, which will include the Alipay+ service for paying for goods and services abroad via QR code.
He also announced that there will be no commission for Kyrgyz citizens, and the conversion rate will be updated daily based on market conditions.
Elcart system has previously been integrated with Uzbekistan's payment infrastructure, allowing the use of national cards abroad. This is an important step in the development of the national payment system and its entry into the international market," he added.
