Bishkek, May 18, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan continues building new hydroelectric power plants, solar power plants, and roads. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev told during a morning meeting with mass media as part of the Open Cabinet media project.

According to him, a number of important projects are planned for the country this year.

"Among them is the Ala-Too Resort project. Its first phase will be completed this year." Work is also underway in Bishkek to improve roads in the east-west direction to reduce traffic congestion. These projects are 30 percent financed internally and 70 percent through investment.

Furthermore, as the economy grows, so does the demand for electricity. Therefore, a number of reforms are being implemented in this area. Solar power plants and small hydroelectric power plants are currently being commissioned. The Chatkal hydroelectric power cascade has also been launched," Amangeldiev said.

It is worth noting that today, as part of the media project Daniyar Amangeldiev, along with media representatives, will visit several sites and hold meetings.
