Food prices in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia differ

Bishkek, June 30, 2026. /Kabar/. Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry conducted comparative monitoring of food prices in Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Kazakhstan.

According to the ministry, the monitoring compared the prices of bakery products, potatoes, vegetables and fruits, meat, milk, sugar, eggs, vegetable oil and other products.

According to the latest data, the dynamics of price changes in the countries as follows:

Products that became more expensive:

Kyrgyzstan: carrots (+7%), milk (+2.1%), mutton (+1.3%), tandoori bread (+0.4%), pasta (+0.2%);

Kazakhstan: potatoes (+11.9%), onions (+7.1%), flour (+7.1%), vegetable oil (+4.9%), carrots (+3.4%), vermicelli (+2.4%), spaghetti (+0.3%);

Russia: onions (+0.8%), potatoes (+0.5%), carrots (+0.3%), sugar (+0.3%), vermicelli (+0.1%).

Cheaper products:

Kyrgyzstan: onions (-6.9%), potatoes (-4.6%), butter (-0.9%), bread (-0.6%), vegetable oil (-0.6%), flour (-0.5%), rice (-0.1%);

Kazakhstan: rice (-7.3%), eggs (-5.7%), bread (-3.8%), beef (-3.1%), sugar (-1.2%), milk (-1%);

Russia: eggs (-0.7%), mutton (-0.5%), butter (-0.2%), flour (-0.2%), milk (-0.1%), vegetable oil (-0.1%).

As the comparison shows, while in Kyrgyzstan the price of potatoes and onions has recently fallen significantly, in neighboring Kazakhstan, on the contrary, potatoes have increased in price by 11.9% and onions by 7.1%. In Russia, however, there have been no sharp price changes, and stability has been maintained.
