Gala concert of Turkic artists held within framework of Turkic Week in Vienna

Bishkek, Jan. 14, 2026. /Kabar/. The Gala Concert of Turkic Artists was held on 13 January 2026 at the MuTh Concert and Theater Hall in Vienna, within the framework of the Turkic Week in Vienna.

The event brought together a distinguished audience, including representatives of Vienna-based international organizations, members of the diplomatic corps, Austrian officials, heads of Turkic diaspora institutions, and representatives of diaspora NGOs. The concert once again demonstrated the unifying power of culture as a shared language connecting societies beyond borders.

The program featured opening addresses by H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, and H.E. Mirbek Mambetaliyev, Minister of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic. In their remarks, both speakers underlined the vital role of culture and the arts in preserving the common heritage of the Turkic World and in strengthening mutual understanding, people-to-people contacts, and intercultural dialogue. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of cultural diplomacy as a cornerstone of cooperation among the Turkic States.

In his address, the Secretary General emphasized that culture and music serve as timeless bridges among peoples, contributing to unity and solidarity across generations and borders. He noted that cultural initiatives organized under the umbrella of the OTS play an essential role in promoting the shared values, traditions, and creative potential of the Turkic World at the international level.

The gala concert presented a rich artistic program, showcasing the cultural heritage of the Turkic World through traditional melodies, folk instruments, contemporary interpretations, and captivating stage performances. Artists from various Turkic States took the stage, offering the audience a musical journey across the vast geography of the Turkic World—from Central Asia to Anatolia and the Caucasus.

Performances featuring traditional instruments, vibrant folk ensembles, and expressive solo vocalists were met with great appreciation by the audience. The colorful national costumes, refined choreography, and harmonious blend of classical and modern elements created an immersive atmosphere.
