Bishkek, April 7, 2026. /Kabar/. The 10th Anniversary International Congress "Hydropower - Central Asia and the Caspian" is taking place in Bishkek today.
As event organizer Elizaveta Smirnova told Kabar, this is the tenth time the congress has been held, three times in Kyrgyzstan.
"The event is supported by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic. Participants came from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Georgia, China, Turkiye, as well as European countries—Denmark, the Czech Republic, Germany, and the Netherlands. This means the geography is quite broad: more than 200 people—key operators, energy companies, general contractors, technology and service providers, investors—all those who contribute to the development of hydropower in the region," she said.
According to her, the main goal of the event is to exchange experience and knowledge, as well as to find new business contacts and partners.
