New Delhi, Dec. 10. 2025 / Kabar /. As part of a familiarization visit for Central Asian journalists organized by India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the delegation visited on Wednesday the headquarters of Asian News International (ANI), the country’s largest news agency.

During the meeting, the journalists were introduced to the agency’s operations and workflow.

ANI Executive Producer Ravi Khandelwal told a Kabar News Agency reporter about the growing importance of Central Asia in ANI’s news coverage.

“We try to follow all major current events in Kyrgyzstan, as Central Asia is very important for us. Whether it is political developments, major incidents, sports or business news — this is our area of interest. India enjoys strong relations with all Central Asian countries, and through this exchange our cooperation will grow even stronger. By sharing content from each country, people will learn more about each other — their culture, language and the events taking place there,” Khandelwal said.

He also highlighted the steady development of the partnership between ANI and Kabar News Agency since the signing of their Memorandum of Understanding in 2022.

“We are very delighted to have a long collaboration with you. It has been almost three years with Kabar News Agency, and the news from Kyrgyzstan is very important for us. We would like to continue this cooperation in the future and use even more content from Kyrgyzstan through Kabar,” he added.

The visit to ANI provided Central Asian journalists with an opportunity to learn about the agency’s editorial processes, technological systems and content distribution mechanisms.

Asian News International is an Indian news agency that offers syndicated multimedia news feeds to news bureaus in India. The company was established in 1971 and, under the name TVNF, soon became the first agency in India to syndicate video news.

A group of 21 journalists from across the region — including representatives from Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan — arrived in New Delhi for the visit organized by the Ministry of External Affairs’ External Publicity & Public Diplomacy Division.
