Bishkek, April 28, 2026. /Kabar/. Since the beginning of 2026, the inflation rate in the Kyrgyz Republic has been 3.9%, Azat Kozubekov, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank informs.

According to him, rising inflation is observed not only in Kyrgyzstan, but also in countries in the region, as well as among key trading partners. Domestic factors, including planned tariff increases under the approved tariff policy, are also having a significant impact.

"At the same time, inflation expectations in the country remain relatively stable." "These are largely ensured by tight monetary conditions and a stable situation in the foreign exchange market," he said.

Kozubekov also recalled that in 2025, the National Bank raised the key interest rate three times, from 9% to 11%. In 2026, the rate was increased to 12%. These measures are aimed at curbing inflation and achieving a target level of 5-7% in the medium term.

National Bank continues to regulate money supply and liquidity in the economy using monetary instruments to maintain price and macroeconomic stability, the Deputy Chairman emphasized.
