Bishkek, April 23, 2026. /Kabar/. International transport forum entitled "Kyrgyzstan is a Regional Hub: Uniting Continents" is being held in Bishkek today.
The forum is attended by transport ministers from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Organization of Turkic States, as well as representatives of relevant foreign government agencies, international organizations, financial institutions, and academic institutions.
The main goal of the meeting is to develop transport cooperation between the participating countries, implement previously adopted initiatives, and coordinate future joint efforts.
The event's agenda includes a discussion of the role of international transport and logistics corridors in the region, as well as their importance in the development of freight transportation.
The following key issues are on the agenda:
- Digitalization of transportation processes in the transport industry, including reducing travel times, improving decision-making processes, and optimizing costs;
- Implementation of infrastructure projects along transport corridors, ensuring connectivity and infrastructure development;
- Simplification of border crossing procedures along transport corridors;
- Problem areas in the transport sector and solutions.
The forum's meetings are attended by transport ministers and secretaries general of the member states of the aforementioned organizations.
