Japan to donate modern mobile clinics to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 14, 2026. /Kabar/. Talaibek Masabirov, head of the Ala-Too parliamentary group met Hirano Ryuichi, the Japanese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.

According to the parliament's press service, the parties summarized the results of the recent working visit of Kyrgyz deputies to Japan and discussed in detail ongoing projects implemented jointly with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). During the meeting, it was announced that Japan will transfer modern mobile clinics from Japan, equipped with CT and MRI machines, as well as high-tech medical equipment for the country's key hospitals.

This year, new equipment is planned for the National Center for Cardiac Surgery and two digital mammography machines will be donated to the Republican Center for Oncology and Hematology. Furthermore, as part of the Japanese government's grant, Kyrgyzstan will receive two fully equipped mobile clinics equipped with MRI, CT, ultrasound, and X-ray systems. The next stage, in 2027–2028, is expected to involve a large-scale delivery of new medical equipment to the southern part of the country – to the Osh Regional Clinical Hospital and the Osh Regional Oncology Center.

During the meeting, Talaibek Masabirov emphasized that bilateral partnership has been actively strengthening in recent years not only in healthcare but also in education, agriculture, and infrastructure. In turn, Ambassador Hirano Ryuichi expressed gratitude to Jogorku Kenesh for the timely ratification of the agreements, which allows for the prompt launch of projects important to the population.
