Kyrgyz civil servants to wear national-style uniform

Bishkek, May 18, 2026. /Kabar/. The resolution has been adopted allowing civil servants to work without ties and suits during hot weather. This was announced by Daiyrbek Orunbekov, Head of the Information Policy Service of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to him, this decision is aimed, firstly, at ensuring employee comfort, the statement says.

Adylbek Kasymaliev instructed the Ministry of Culture to develop and submit a design for civil servant uniforms incorporating elements of national dress. This means that in the future, civil servants may begin wearing uniforms in the national style.

However, the established dress code for protocol and international events will remain unchanged.
