KAZAN, May 15, 2026 /Kabar/. Representatives of the State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry" under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as domestic producers of halal and organic products, are participating in an exhibition as part of the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2026," which is taking place May 14-15 in the capital city of Tatarstan.
Kyrgyzstan's participation in the forum is aimed at developing cooperation with countries of the Islamic world, promoting domestic products on international markets, and expanding business ties.
According to Ermek Kadyrberdiev, Head of the Consulting Support Sector at the Halal Industry Development Center, several domestic companies are presenting Kyrgyz products at the Russia Halal Expo international exhibition, including Adal Azyk LLC, Nakta Kak Individual Entrepreneur Kushubakova, Shoro CJSC, Salikh LTD LLC, Bolashak LLC, and Dary Tien-Shanya LLC.
"The participation of Kyrgyz companies in the KazanForum opens new opportunities for product presentation, exchange of experience, and the search for international partners. Kyrgyz manufacturers presented environmentally friendly and high-quality products that meet international halal standards," noted Kadyrberdiev.
Damira Abdybekova, the head of one of the companies, came to the forum from Karakol and is participating in the exhibition for the second time.
"Many admire the Kyrgyz yurt and are interested in it as a mobile home for nomads, as tourism is currently booming. We also brought shyrdaks (traditional tents) and handicrafts," she said.
Russia Halal Expo is the largest international halal industry exhibition in Russia, which will be held from May 12 to 17, 2026, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center. The event is a key part of the "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum" economic forum, bringing together halal product producers, businesses, and investors to develop the industry.
The goal of the annual exhibition is to develop, promote, and popularize the halal industry, uniting Muslim producers and consumers in the largest project in Russia.
