Bishkek, June 1, 2026. /Kabar/. On May 29, the management of State Customs Service (SCS) of Kyrgyz Republic laid a time capsule to mark the start of construction of new building at the Ak-Maral recreation center in Issyk-Kul.
According to the State Customs Service, the event was attended by heads of departments of the customs service's central office, customs authorities, and representatives of the management of the State Customs Infrastructure JSC.
According to the project, the new five-story building, with a total area of over 3,900 square meters, will be equipped with modern recreation and wellness infrastructure. Thermal pools are also planned for the complex.
The project is being financed by profits earned by the State Customs Infrastructure JSC from providing customs-related services.
Furthermore, the on-site meeting addressed preparations for the implementation of the Electronic Declaration Center. Participants discussed the progress of developing the declaration module in the Smart Bajy (customs) information system, as well as the organizational measures required for the launch of the Electronic Declaration Center.
"Following the meeting, the SCS management issued relevant instructions for the further implementation of infrastructure projects and digital initiatives of the customs service," the statement reads.
