Kyrgyz economy minister calls on SCO countries to strengthen industrial partnership

Cholpon-Ata, June 5, 2026 /Kabar/. At a meeting of industry ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states Cholpon-Ata, Bakyt Sydykov, Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, noted that SCO countries are facing large-scale global transformations affecting the economy, logistics, and international cooperation.

According to him, in these circumstances, the formation of a sustainable strategic partnership based on mutual trust, openness, and shared responsibility is particularly important.

The minister noted that the stability of the global economy and the reliability of production chains directly depend on the stable development of countries' industrial potential and effective international cooperation.

Bakyt Sydykov called on meeting participants to intensify efforts to develop industrial and technological partnerships, improve cooperation mechanisms, and expand interaction between special economic zones, industrial parks, and joint ventures.

Particular attention was paid to supporting exhibition and fair activities, promoting technological advances, and implementing joint projects that contribute to the sustainable economic development of SCO member states.

Following the meeting, the participants reviewed and adopted a joint ministerial statement. The document was agreed upon at the expert level and received the support of all delegations.

"It is necessary to consistently strengthen industrial cooperation and create effective mechanisms for long-term cooperation between SCO member states," Bakyt Sydykov emphasized.
