Bishkek, June 17, 2026 /Kabar/. On June 16, 2026, the Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Sydykov, met with the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan Altamash Wazir Khan.
According to Ministry of Economy and Commerce, during the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during President Sadyr Zhaparov's state visit to Pakistan on December 3-4, 2025, as well as bilateral agreements and memorandums signed following the visit.
The parties also discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Pakistani trade and economic cooperation. Particular attention was paid to increasing mutual trade volumes, expanding export and import operations, and realizing the existing potential of bilateral cooperation.
Furthermore, they exchanged views on developing transport and logistics cooperation, including the use of Pakistani seaports to expand Kyrgyzstan's export opportunities, as well as further development of transit traffic.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations and developing trade and economic cooperation.
