Kazan, May 12, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is actively participating in the international economic forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum," said Taliya Minullina, head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan.
At a meeting with reporters in the Government House of Tatarstan, Minullina said that Kyrgyzstan is represented at various forum venues, including exhibitions and the congress of chambers of commerce and industry of OIC countries.
“We see great potential for cooperation, particularly in Islamic finance and the banking sector," she noted.
Tatarstan Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova noted that active collaboration between Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan continues in the fields of theater, literature, and culture.
"Regarding cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, interaction with Kyrgyzstan is one of the important areas of partnership for Tatarstan.
I would like to note that today, many plays based on the works of Chyngyz Aitmatov are being staged in our theaters.
Our cooperation is developing beyond the KazanForum. We are also actively building cooperation within the context of the Issyk-Kul Forum—a distinct brand that is once again gaining momentum,” she said expressing confidence that all the projects currently being implemented by the two countries in all areas: theater, literature, and the visual arts will continue in the future.
“We feel a constant connection with our brothers and sisters in our daily work," the minister emphasized.
The 17th International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum" has started in the capital city of Tatarstan on Tuesday and will last till May 17. It is a platform for strengthening trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, and cultural ties between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
