Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2025. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev met with President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masato Kanda.
The meeting discussed issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and ADB, as well as the current economic situation of the country, the national program for the development of the country until 2030, climate, energy, etc.
Touching upon the current economic situation of the country, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev said that in the past few years, the economy of Kyrgyzstan has been showing accelerated growth due to the implementation of comprehensive work in key sectors.
“On average, the economic growth rate over the past three years has been 9.0%, high economic activity has been maintained since the beginning of this year, GDP growth in the first 10 months of 2025 amounted to 10.0%. Currently, it is important for Kyrgyzstan to maintain high rates of economic growth, because by 2030 we plan to increase GDP per capita and GDP volume by at least 80%,” he said.
It was also noted that the national program for the development of the country until 2030 places special emphasis on ensuring sustainable economic growth, improving the quality of life of citizens, and developing key sectors of the economy, and four development vectors are envisaged: they discuss industrialization, regional hub, agriculture and tourism, and green energy, and bilateral cooperation in these areas.
At the end of the meeting, a number of important agreements were signed between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank for cooperation in areas such as implementing a green transformation program for public buildings, expanding access to energy-efficient housing, and strengthening the resilience of water resources to climate change and natural disasters.
