Kyrgyzstan and Belarus discuss digitalization of transport industry

Bishkek, April 23, 2026 /Kabar/. As part of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) events, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, Askar Uulu Baktyluu, met with a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Dubina.

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the parties exchanged information on the digitalization of the transport industry and the development of automobile checkpoints, including the simplification of border crossing procedures, particularly to the implementation of electronic systems aimed at simplifying and expediting border crossing processes.

The Belarusian side expressed its willingness to share its practical experience in implementing the electronic consignment note (e-CMR) system. They also presented information on the progress achieved in implementing the e-Permit system.

Furthermore, the parties discussed issues related to the development of railway infrastructure, including the implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project.
