Bishkek, June 25, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Germany discussed the prospects of opening direct flights between two countries. Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Meder Abakirov met with Ambassador of Germany to Kyrgyzstan Monika Lenhard.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Minister confirmed Kyrgyzstan's interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation, developing political dialogue, and expanding contacts at various levels.
The parties focused on developing cooperation in aviation, labor migration, education, tourism, and the economy. They also discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-German relations and current international and regional issues.
Monika Lenhard congratulated Kyrgyzstan on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and confirmed Germany's readiness for further consultations.
Following the meeting, they confirmed mutual interest in further developing Kyrgyz-German cooperation and continuing regular dialogue on bilateral and multilateral issues.
