Kyrgyzstan, India strengthen cooperation in public security

Bishkek, May 14, 2026. /Kabar/. Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Adilet Orozbekov met with Deputy National Security Adviser to the Prime Minister of India Pawan Kapoor.

According to the presidential administration, the meeting participants discussed the progress of Kyrgyz-Indian interstate cooperation and exchanged views on the current international security situation.

In his speech, Adilet Orozbekov noted that Kyrgyzstan and India share a common commitment to countering extremism, terrorism, and drug trafficking, considering them key threats to humanity.

Furthermore, the parties emphasized that cooperation in ensuring public security, law enforcement, and combating transnational crime is of mutual interest.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 21st Meeting of the Security Council Secretaries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the main session of which took place on May 14 of this year.
