Kyrgyzstan and Korea discuss joint projects, memo signed

Bishkek, April 16, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, the head of the National Investment Agency Ravshanbek Sabirov, met with representatives of the Korean consortium.

According to the agency, the consortium includes Far East University, Chungbuk Technopark and HS Solar Energy Co., Ltd. and representatives of MK Invest LLC also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of implementing investment projects in Kyrgyzstan and the prospects for developing cooperation.

Kyrgyz side presented the main investment projects in priority sectors of the economy. In turn, the Korean consortium presented its initiatives in the areas of education, technological development and renewable energy.

"Kyrgyzstan is a reliable partner for investors. The country provides legal guarantees for investment protection, and creates open and understandable conditions for doing business. We are focused on developing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with international partners," Ravshanbek Sabirov noted.

Korean side expressed interest in implementing joint projects, as well as expanding cooperation with government agencies and the business community.

As a result, memorandum was signed aimed at developing cooperation and promoting joint investment initiatives. The parties agreed to further develop specific projects and interaction mechanisms.
