Kyrgyzstan and PowerChina discuss hydropower projects

Bishkek, April 24, 2026. /Kabar/. Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency, met with PowerChina delegation, a global leader in energy and infrastructure, who plans to implement large-scale hydroelectric power plant construction and renewable energy development projects in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the agency, during the meeting, the parties also discussed the prospects for joint investment projects in Kyrgyzstan. Particular attention was paid to attracting investment, implementing modern technologies, and improving the efficiency of the country's energy resources. Kyrgyz side emphasized its readiness to provide comprehensive support to investors, including assistance at all stages of project implementation.

"Kyrgyzstan is consistently strengthening partnerships with international investors and creating favorable conditions for the implementation of strategically important projects. Cooperation with large companies like PowerChina opens new opportunities for developing energy infrastructure, implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring sustainable economic growth," said Ravshanbek Sabirov.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop potential projects and strengthen bilateral investment cooperation.
