Kyrgyzstan and South Korea expand cooperation in economy, energy, and innovation

Bishkek, May 21, 2026. /Kabar/. On May 21, the 7th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Korean Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Seoul under the chairmanship of Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov.

According to the relevant ministry, the meeting addressed issues of strengthening trade and economic ties. The parties intend to implement infrastructure, social, and grant projects in Kyrgyzstan, as well as establish an exchange of business missions.

There are also plans to develop bilateral cooperation in a wide range of areas, including industry, energy, ecology, agriculture, digital innovation, migration policy, and cultural and humanitarian affairs.
