Kyrgyzstan and St. Petersburg strengthen ties in ​​labor migration

Bishkek, April 9, 2026 /Kabar/. Minister of Labor Kanat Sagynbaev and Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee on External Relations Yevgeny Kassyura discussed strengthening ties in the area of ​​labor migration.

According to the ministry, the parties focused on developing organized employment, pre-departure preparation for citizens, and protecting their rights in Russia. Particular attention was paid to labor legalization, social adaptation, and compliance with migration laws.

Evgeny Kassyura reported that St. Petersburg is simplifying access to healthcare for Kyrgyz citizens, developing online recruitment, and organizing free vocational training at the expense of employers.

Following the meeting, the participants agreed to develop a step-by-step roadmap for the implementation of the agreement signed on June 18, 2025, between the Employment Center of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Association for the Promotion of International Labor Migration.
