Kyrgyzstan and Venezuela expand cooperation in aquaculture

Bishkek, June 17, 2026 /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Rustam Baltabaev held online meeting with representatives of the Ministry of People's Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as well as with the Venezuelan Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Rosalba Lo Bue.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in fisheries and aquaculture. Particular attention was paid to technical exchanges, developing trade in fisheries and aquaculture products, and strengthening cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries.

The Venezuelan side expressed interest in developing cooperation in this area, including technical, veterinary, sanitary, and legal aspects of industry regulation.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding cooperation and agreed to continue working on the preparation and conclusion of a bilateral document that will serve as the basis for developing cooperation in fisheries and aquaculture between Kyrgyzstan and Venezuela.
