Kyrgyzstan bans trucks's movement over 18 tons from June 1

Bishkek, June 1, 2026. /Kabar/. From June 1 to September 1 of this year, temporary restriction on the movement of trucks with maximum gross vehicle weight over 18 tons introduced in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, this restriction is being introduced during the summer period to ensure the safety of public roads in the country and extend their service life.

The restriction does not apply to the following categories of vehicles:

  • passenger transport;
  • vehicles transporting humanitarian aid;
  • transportation of perishable food products and hazardous goods;
  • transportation of oversized cargo based on special permits;

Road organizations and contractors engaged by the Ministry for the construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of public roads, when performing roadwork within specific road sections under relevant orders.
