In Cholpon-Ata, as part of the 4th Meeting of Industry Ministers of the SCO Member States, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Sydykov met with Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China Xin Guobin.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the parties discussed prospects for Kyrgyz-Chinese trade, economic, and industrial cooperation, the development of industrial cooperation, the introduction of innovative technologies, and the strengthening of logistics ties.
Bakyt Sydykov emphasized the Kyrgyz side's interest in studying advanced Chinese practices in industrial development, digitalization, and information technology.
Xin Guobin praised the organization of events during Kyrgyzstan's SCO Presidency and confirmed China's readiness to implement new joint industrial projects.
Furthermore, the Chinese side announced the beginning of detailed development of Kyrgyzstan's initiative to create a United Textile Cluster of SCO member states.
