Bishkek, May 15, 2026. /Kabar/. Kanat Kanbolotov, director of the State institute of earthquake engineering and engineering design of the Kyrgyz Republic, and ministry specialists signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Xinjiang Institute of Construction Sciences during a working visit to Urumqi.
According to the Ministry of Construction, the meeting was chaired by Chen Ning, Chairman of the Xinjiang Institute of Construction Sciences. The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, including the exchange of construction experience, the development of investment cooperation, and the participation of Chinese partners in infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan.
This memorandum is an important step in strengthening ties between Kyrgyzstan and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR) in construction and urban development.
The document aims to:
- Develop partnerships in the construction industry.
- Implement modern technologies.
- Exchange professional experience.
- Implement joint projects.
It is noted that this event was organized to implement the agreements reached during Nurdan Oruntayev's previous visit to China.
Following the official meeting, the delegation also visited Xinjiang's first zero-energy demonstration building and a construction research and production laboratory complex.
