Bishkek, June 16, 2026 /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, 426 kilometers of roads have been fully paved since the beginning of the year. According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan, the current roadwork volume is more than double the volume of the same period last year.
By comparison, by June 2025, 191.5 kilometers of roads were paved across the country. Thus, the volume of roadwork has increased by 234 kilometers.
The relevant department emphasizes that construction and reconstruction work on strategic and local highways is currently ongoing throughout the country. This large-scale modernization of the road network is aimed at unlocking Kyrgyzstan's transport and logistics potential, improving road safety, and qualitatively improving infrastructure in the regions. The entire road construction process is strictly supervised by the ministry.
