Bishkek, May 26, 2026. /Kabar/. International scientific and practical seminar on "Mud Brick Monuments in Central Asia: Experience of Research, Conservation, Restoration, and Museumification" is being held in Bishkek and the Naryn Region from May 25 to 29. Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy reports.
According to the ministry, the event brought together specialists in the fields of cultural heritage preservation, architecture, archaeology, and restoration, and focused on the preservation of Central Asian historical and architectural monuments built from mud brick.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Salkyn Sarnogoeva attended the opening of the seminar, noting that the preservation of cultural heritage is one of the state's key priorities.
As part of the program, participants will address current issues in the preservation of mud brick architecture and share the results of scientific research and restoration projects. A practical exchange of experience and discussion of joint initiatives are also planned.
Representatives of scientific and cultural institutions from Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan are participating in the seminar.
