Kyrgyzstan's election demonstrates recognition by the world community of the country's contribution to global efforts to address priority issues in the field of sustainable development.
Membership in the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) will allow Kyrgyzstan to more actively participate in the development of international drug policy, including in matters of combating drug trafficking and strengthening regional cooperation in this area.
Participation in the UNICEF Executive Board will provide an opportunity to influence the Fund's strategic priorities and programs aimed at protecting the rights and well-being of children, including access to education, health care and social protection, which is especially important for the implementation of national goals in the field of child development.
Working as part of ISAR will open up new opportunities for sharing best practices in accounting, reporting and corporate transparency, as well as for strengthening the capacity of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with international standards, which is important for attracting investment and improving governance in the public and private sectors. The successful outcome of the elections reflects the high level of trust of the international community and confirms Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to active cooperation with international organizations in order to advance issues of peace, security and sustainable development.
