Bishkek, July 13, 2026. /Kabar/. On July 14-18, the weather in Kyrgyzstan will become extremely hot, with thermometer readings in some regions reaching 41…43°C, reaching extreme levels. Kyrgyzhydromet service reports.

According to the explanation of forecasters, such extreme heat is due to the influence of the summer thermal depression and anticyclone in Central Asia. As a result, a flow of very warm and dry air masses from Iran, Afghanistan and the southwestern regions of Central Asia to Kyrgyzstan is expected.

Experts note that the highest temperature in the history of Bishkek city over the past 43 years was recorded on July 30, 1983, and was 42.8°C. In recent years (2017, 2019, 2021), the heat in July reached only 41°C. However, the 43-degree heat expected on July 16-18 this year may break Bishkek's historical record.

The highest indicators in the regions over the past 10 years:

In Manas city - 44°C on July 27, 2021 (the highest indicator in the country);

In Batken district - 40°C on July 24, 2022;

In Kadamjai (Kyzyl-Adyr) - 40°C on July 8, 2021;

In Talas and Razzakov - 38°C was recorded on July 4, 2025.

As noted, since the beginning of July 2026, the air temperature has been reaching 38…40°C. Experts warn that these indicators are only the beginning of heatwave that will intensify further.
