Bishkek, April 25, 2025. /Kabar/. The Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection and Quarantine summed up the results of phytosanitary control for the period from January 1 to April 23, 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
Potato export
Since the beginning of the year, 17,017.5 tons of potatoes have been certified for export, of which:
16,894.5 tons - food potatoes,
123 tons - seed potatoes.
The main export destinations were Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus.
Potato import
Over the same period, 11,752.8 tons of imported potatoes were subject to quarantine phytosanitary control, including:
10,019.7 tons - food potatoes,
1,733.1 tons - seed potatoes.
Supplies came from China, Mongolia, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and Germany.
The Ministry of Agriculture noted that all exported and imported potatoes undergo mandatory phytosanitary certification and laboratory testing in accordance with international standards and safety requirements.
