Bishkek, May 25, 2026. /Kabar/. On the sidelines of the 93rd General Session of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) Assembly, Adilet Sotovaldiev, director of the veterinary service of Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, met with Szabolcs Pásztor, head of the food chain control department of the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the ministry's press service, during the meeting, Kyrgyz side expressed interest in exporting meat products to Hungary, as well as importing breeding animals from Hungary to Kyrgyzstan. It was noted that representatives of the Kyrgyz business community are showing strong interest in the supply of these products and live breeding animals.

Szabolcs Pásztor stated that meat products must be registered in relevant EU registry in order to be exported to European Union countries. He also emphasized that Kyrgyzstan already has positive experience registering livestock products, particularly natural honey, in the European registry, which creates the preconditions for further promotion of domestic products in the EU market.

Hungarian side also expressed its willingness to provide advisory and practical support in promoting the export of Kyrgyz products to EU countries.

Furthermore, it was noted that there are currently no restrictions on the export of breeding animals from Hungary to Kyrgyzstan. The parties confirmed their commitment to further developing bilateral cooperation in veterinary medicine and livestock farming.
