Bishkek, June 10, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Italy have signed an agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal cases. General Prosecutor's Office reports.

The corresponding document was signed in Rome by the Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Maksat Asanaliev and the Minister of Justice of Italy Carlo Nordio.

"This important document has fully completed the formation of the contractual and legal framework in the criminal sphere of the two countries. The agreement creates a legal basis for obtaining evidence in criminal cases, identifying and seizing criminal assets. This step will strengthen the joint fight against transnational organized crime, corruption, cybercrime and money laundering," the report says.
