Kyrgyzstan, Japan to cooperate in healthcare and labor migration

Bishkek, Oct. 13, 2025. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov met with a delegation of Japanese business leaders led by Shinji Tarutoko, Chairman of the Kyrgyz-Japanese Cooperation Association.

The parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including education, healthcare, labor migration, and digital technologies.

Edil Baisalov expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for its support of initiatives aimed at strengthening Kyrgyz-Japanese relations and particularly noted the contribution of Michinori Yotsuhashi, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan.

He expressed hope that joint work by the parties will lead to the establishment of a Kyrgyz-Japanese diagnostic center for cancer research and treatment, which will be an important step in the development of medical science and practice in the country.

Furthermore, the parties discussed the employment of Kyrgyz citizens in Japan.

In turn, the Japanese side expressed its readiness to further strengthen cooperation, noting the prospects for partnership not only in education and healthcare, but also in the development of sports, particularly football.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Chairman noted that Kyrgyzstan is open to new initiatives and formats of cooperation, expressing confidence that the Japanese delegation's visit will provide additional impetus to the development of a comprehensive partnership
