Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan launches pilot project on navigation seals for goods

Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2025. /Kabar/. The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic is launching a pilot project to use navigation seals for road transport between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As part of the project, which will run from December 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026, navigation seals will be used on a voluntary and free-of-charge basis for the road transport of all types of goods, including:

* from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation;

* from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic through the Ak-Tilek Avtodorozhny (Kyrgyz Republic) and Karasu (Republic of Kazakhstan) road checkpoints.

Navigation seal application points:

* Ak-Tilek Avtodorozhny (Kyrgyz Republic);

* Checkpoints on the Kazakh-Russian border (along the route);

* Karasu (Republic of Kazakhstan).

Navigation seal removal points:

* Delivery addresses in Bishkek (for imports into the Kyrgyz Republic);

* Checkpoints on the Kazakh-Russian border (for transit);

* Delivery addresses in Almaty (for imports into the Republic of Kazakhstan).

It should be noted that the project is being implemented under memorandum signed on August 22, 2025, between the Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The pilot project will help refine the mechanisms for using navigation seals, increase the transparency of trade flows, expedite control procedures, and prepare market participants for the mandatory implementation of shipment tracking system within the EAEU.
