Bishkek, Nov. 24, 2025. /Kabar/. Leading South Korean engineering company Dohwa Engineering announced the completion of the installation of automated liquid nutrition system at the IWS Agro smart farm in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the project was implemented as part of the "Smart Farm 2025" international demonstration program of the Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency of the Republic of Korea.

The project cost 600,000 soms (US$70,000). The new system provides precise, automated nutrient dosing in real time, reducing water and energy consumption by 30-40% and increasing yields by up to 50%. The technology was patented in 2023 and received standard Korean KS certificates in 2024.

IWS Agro currently grows mini cucumbers, tomatoes, and strawberries on 23 hectares, producing over 474 tons of produce annually and employing approximately 150 local residents.

Dohwa Engineering will provide ongoing technical support for the system. The company is also considering implementing the technology in other greenhouse complexes, including the planned 350-hectare Illustrated Export Agrozone (AAC) in Kyrgyzstan.

Dohwa Engineering is one of the largest engineering companies in the Republic of Korea, with a 62-year history and 229 projects completed in 77 countries. Together with IWS Agro, the company continues to contribute to the modernization of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan.
