Bishkek, June 18, 2026 / Kabar. During the Islamic Development Bank Group's Annual Meeting in Baku, Finance Minister Ruslan Suinaliev met with Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, Director General of the OPEC Fund for International Development.
According to the relevant ministry, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation and possible financing of Kyrgyzstan's priority projects in transport infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and irrigation.
Particular attention was paid to the Kambarata-1 HPP construction project, the National Irrigation Investment Program, the reconstruction of the Bishkek-Torugart highway on the Kant-Tokmok-Chym-Korgon section, as well as private sector support mechanisms and budget development programs.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in expanding their partnership and continuing constructive dialogue on the implementation of joint projects.
