Kyrgyzstan outlines cooperation priorities with EDB

Bishkek, June 25, 2026. /Kabar/. On June 25, Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Sydykov took part in annual meeting of Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) in Almaty.

According to the relevant ministry, the meeting reviewed the bank's performance for 2025, the implementation of the EDB Strategy for 2022–2026, and approved the bank's Development Strategy for 2027–2031.

In his speech, Bakyt Sydykov congratulated the EDB on its 20th anniversary and noted the bank's contribution to strengthening economic cooperation, developing infrastructure, and implementing investment projects in the region.

The minister particularly emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the EDB. Projects implemented with the bank's support contribute to strengthening the country's energy security, developing transport connectivity, and advancing the green agenda.

The minister expressed Kyrgyzstan's readiness for further constructive cooperation with the EDB in the areas of energy, transport infrastructure, and sustainable economic development.
